Meet the team

Alexandra Chapman-Director

Many people simply know me as Alex, as well as the director of the company, the designer, machinist, upholsterer, mother to Lily Grace, wife to Craig, and sometimes bossy boots.

I began making curtains in my fathers snug around eight years ago, as well as working part time and studying textile design. I was eventually taken under the wing of an interior designer who taught the skills required to make and design soft furnishings – although the actual flare and innovation of interior design is something that cannot be learnt, for me, I treasure it as if it is a gift.

In 2004 I out grew my fathers snug, (he was delighted). Luckily I discovered a small studio at Backridge Farm in Waddington where I could expand and relocate the business. We are still here today albeit not so small.

I love my job, everyday is exciting meeting new people, seeing new fabrics and designs, customers become friends, it’s a great job.

Linda is also responsable for keeping the showroom looking fantastic and merchandising the new gifts and accessories.

Emma
