Twitter Lane Interiors

Meet the team

Alexandra Chapman - Director

Many people simply know me as Alex, as well as the director of the company, the designer, machinist, upholsterer, mother to Lily Grace and Charlie Albert, wife to Craig, and sometimes bossy boots.

I began making curtains in my fathers snug whilst working part time and studying textile design. I was eventually taken under the wing of an interior designer who taught me the skills required to make and design soft furnishings – although the actual flare and innovation of interior design is something that cannot be learnt and which I consider to be my gift.

In 2004 I out-grew my fathers snug, much to his delight. Luckily, I discovered a small studio at Backridge Farm, Waddington, where I could expand and relocate the business. In November 2010 we expanded into our wonderful new showroom on Moor Lane in Clitheroe town centre.

I love doing my job, which brings excitement each day with meeting new customers and catching up with regular customers who have become friends as well as seeing the new fabrics and designs as they are introduced throughout the seasons.

Jane - Workroom Manager

Jane joined Twitter lane interiors in 2005 and has become a very important member of the team as she specialises in intricate hand sewn curtains, cushions, pelmets, blinds and many other beautifully hand crafted soft-furnishings. In her very little spare time she also engraves silver jewellery.

Linda - Design and Merchandising Assistant

Linda joined the team in 2007, and is most probably the first person you speak to or see, she takes great pleasure in helping customers chose gifts, fabrics, wallpaper or paint and no enquiry is too much trouble. Linda is also responsible for keeping the showroom looking fantastic and merchandising the new gifts and accessories.

Olivia - Sales Assistant

With an interest in Art and Design, Olivia came for work experience with us in 2005 and has recently returned to us again as a part time sales assistant. Now a qualified Speech and Language Therapist, Olivia is studying part time for her Masters in Arts Health. She is always a smiling, friendly face in the shop and will try her best to find what you are looking for.

Geraldine - Work-room Staff

Geraldine, otherwise known to us all as 'G', has been a good friend and work-room helper for the past 5 years. As well as being a full-time grandma she is an extremely talented seamstress, with over 40 years experience in the industry which we value greatly.
